Our NGO SARANG WELFARE SOCIETY had a thought to celebrate The NAVRATRI or popularly known as DURGA PUJA by organising different activities during the nine days long festival. We were to worship goddess Durga in those activities by helping in the wellbeing of our society.
On the holy day of ‘CHATURTHI’ we were requested to plant trees wherever possible near our locality. It could be our garden, our backyards or any groundside in our locality. Knowing the bad effects of cutting trees thoughtlessly, we had decided to take this step. Even though people might think that posting about all this does not attain the idea we want to instil but I feel, It was more of a reminder to us of our duty of planting trees. It was really a marvellous and much needed initiative.
